Payroll Support

This service can be a stand-alone service or apart of the Operations Services as an add-on. Pricing will very depending on business size and industry serviced.

JW Executive Consulting provides payroll support services by working with trusted third-party payroll vendors such as Gusto and QuickBooks Online Payroll Plus and Elite. We assist with payroll coordination, documentation organization, and system support, ensuring all required information is accurate, complete, and readily available. Our payroll support follows IRS and applicable state guidelines, and we work collaboratively with your chosen CPA or accountant to support your business operations. Year-end 1099 and W-2 processing is available as a separate service if completed by our firm. We prefer to work within your existing payroll provider; however, if you do not currently have one, we can assist with setting up a preferred partner.

  • Payroll coordination using third-party providers such as Gusto and QuickBooks Online Payroll Plus or Elite

  • Organization and review of required payroll documentation and employee records

  • Ongoing payroll system support in alignment with IRS and state payroll guidelines

  • Collaboration with your CPA or accountant to ensure accurate payroll reporting and compliance support

  • Assistance with payroll setup through a preferred partner when a provider is not already in place

  • 1099 & W-2 Services May Include:

    • Review and organization of required contractor and employee documentation

    • Preparation of 1099 and W-2 forms based on information provided and approved

    • Partnership with your CPA or accountant for year-end reporting alignment

    • Support for timely filing in accordance with IRS and applicable state guidelines

1099 & W-2 Services Disclaimer

Year-end 1099 and W-2 preparation and filing are not included in standard payroll support services and are offered as a separate service when completed by JW Executive Consulting. These services require additional documentation, verification, and coordination and are priced separately. When requested, we work in partnership with your CPA or accountant and follow all IRS and applicable state reporting guidelines

Project & Team Management

This Service can be stand alone service for a small business and on it's own. If retainer client and have the operations all in- this is included in that all in pricing. Pricing will depend on scope of business and industry the business services.

We provide project and team management support designed to keep work organized, timelines clear, and teams aligned. We assist with project coordination, task tracking, workflow organization, and communication support to help ensure projects move forward efficiently. By supporting structured processes and consistent follow-through, we help business owners maintain visibility, reduce missed deadlines, and keep teams focused on priorities without adding unnecessary complexity.

Side and One-Off Projects

These services are offered as project-based engagements through JW Executive Consulting for small businesses that do not require ongoing monthly or long-term retainer services. Project work is billed at an hourly rate starting at $30 per hour, with a deposit required and paid in advance prior to the start of any work. A brief engagement letter outlining the scope of services will be provided and must be acknowledged, along with the invoice, before services begin.

Question 1: What types of businesses do you work with?

We work with small to growing service-based businesses that need structured support in operations, bookkeeping, payroll coordination, and project and team management. Our services are ideal for business owners who want reliable back-office support without hiring full-time staff.

Question 2: Do you offer ongoing monthly services or one-time projects?

We offer both. Clients may choose ongoing monthly support or one-off, project-based engagements depending on their needs. Project-based services are ideal for businesses that need short-term assistance or support with a specific task or initiative.

Question 3: What bookkeeping services do you provide?

We provide bookkeeping support, including transaction categorization, financial record organization, and bookkeeping process support such as Accounts Receivable & Payable when needed. We do not offer tax preparation or file your taxes with the IRS but we do work in coordination with your CPA or accountant when needed on your behalf.

Question 4: How does payroll support work??

Payroll support is provided through third-party payroll platforms such as Gusto or QuickBooks Online Payroll Plus or Elite. We assist with payroll coordination, documentation organization, and system support while following IRS and state payroll guidelines. We also work collaboratively with your CPA or accountant.

Question 5: Are 1099 and W-2 services included?

If the business is an "All In" Monthly Paying Retainer Client then Yes, Otherwise No. Year-end 1099 and W-2 preparation and filing are offered as a separate service when completed by our firm. These services require additional documentation and are priced separately from standard payroll support.

Question 6: Do I need to sign a contract or engagement letter documentations with your business for services?

If the business is an "All-In" or in any other monthly retainer, Yes. This will be on file for both parties have signed and agreed to the services that will be provided within that scope of engagement. If our firm is hired for the side or one-off projects then no but a deposit and signed agreement letter must be made at the time of the agreement before any work is started for any project or job.

Question 7: How do I request additional services or responsibilities that are not included in my current contract or engagement agreement?

Any additional duties or work requested beyond what is outlined in the signed contract or engagement agreement are considered scope creep. Such requests are not included in the original service terms and will be subject to additional fees billed at our standard hourly rate. The only exception is when a formal revision to the contract or engagement agreement is discussed, documented, and mutually agreed upon by both parties. Any changes to scope must be confirmed in writing and acknowledged by both parties before the additional work begins.
